Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03057578A1] The aim of the invention is to produce a resealable packaging bag in a simple, cost-effective manner. Said bag consists of a flexible material and has an opening (5) at the top. A backing (6) is permanently fixed to one side of the bag and a portion (10), of flexible material, which is provided with a self-adhesive layer, is detachably fixed onto said backing. Part of the backing (6) and part of the portion (10) project beyond the edge of the opening (14) of the bag. To close the bag, one part (8) of the backing (6) is pulled off and the exposed part of the portion (10) is placed across the opening (5) and stuck onto the opposite side (2). The detachably fixed part of the portion (10) which is located on the part (9) of the backing (6) that remains on the bag is used to open and reseal the bag. The particular advantages of the invention are that the bag can be produced from any material including paper and that the backing comprising the self-adhesive portion can be a commercially available self-adhesive label.
