[origin: EP1462049A2] The flat horizontal worktop (1) on a domestic or kitchen appliance has downwardly turned edges especially a downwardly turned rear edge (4). The rear edge has lugs with slots (5) accommodating rotatable fastening pins held on the body of the appliance. The pins engage in slots (6) in the back of the appliance.
