Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1462566A2] To beat wood and other fiber materials, the material is passed between two beating surfaces, where the speed difference between them is between 5 m/second and 12 m/second or zero. The material is fed as a web (6) between two rotating rollers (2,3) in a beater (1), to be spread evenly over their beating surfaces. The rollers are rotated by motors (4,5).
