Die Erfindung betrifft eine Geräteblende mit beleuchtbarer Anzeigevorrichtung, insbesondere zur Status- und/oder Betriebsmodusanzeige eines elektrischen Geräts (2), mit wenigstens einem Leuchtmittel (10), das hinter einer zumindest teilweise transparenten und mit einer beleuchtbaren Symbolik versehen Sichtblende (4) an einer Gerätefront- oder Oberseite angeordnet ist. Es ist vorgesehen, dass zwischen Leuchtmittel (10) und Sichtblende (4) eine opake Kontrastschicht (12) aus einem transparenten Werkstoff, vorzugsweise Kunststoff, angeordnet ist, die bei nicht aktiviertem Leuchtmittel (10) hell gegen die dunklere Sichtblende (4) kontrastiert, und die bei aktiviertem Leuchtmittel (10) in dessen Farbe leuchtet. <IMAGE>
