[origin: WO03056997A1] The invention relates to a floor cleaning device comprising a base plate (1), which has a socket (2), to which a handle mounting is connected, pivoting plates (4), which are mounted on both sides of the socket (2) so that they can pivot about pivoting axes (3) and a locking device for locking the pivoting plates (4) in a position, in which their undersides lie at least approximately on one plane (22). The locking device, which has at least one locking bolt (16) for locking the pivoting plates (4) can be released by means of an actuating element (33). The locking bolts (16) can be displaced by means of the actuating element (33) via a grooved guide between a position, in which they engage in bolt holes (21) and a position, in which they are retracted in relation to said holes (21). For each locking bolt (16), the grooved guide has at least one groove (24) and a pin (25), which engages in said groove, whereby one of said two parts (24, 25) of the grooved guide is located on the locking bolt (16) and the other part (24, 25) is located on a guide part (26) that can be displaced by the actuating element (33).
