[origin: WO03055652A1] The invention relates to a force measurement and gripper device (10) for sampling and/or gripping nanometric objects in different media. Said device comprises a first and second arm (12, 14), which are arranged at a distance from one another and run essentially parallel, each arm having a longitudinal axis (L1, L2), a first and second gripper and force measurement unit (41, 43), said first measurement unit (41) being allocated to the first arm (12) and the second measurement unit (43) being allocated to the second arm (14), whereby at least one measurement unit can be displaced perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis. According to the invention, the two arms are interconnected by means of an articulated element (18, 54), the latter (18, 54) dividing the two arms into a first and a second longitudinal section (21, 22) and the articulated element (18, 54) is configured in such a way that it allows a pivotal displacement of at least one arm (12, 14) about the articulated element (18, 54) and thus a displacement of one measurement unit (41, 43) on a plane, which is parallel to the longitudinal axes of both arms.
