[origin: WO03060502A1] The invention relates to a sensor element (10) having a laminate design, for detecting a physical property of a gas, particularly for detecting the concentration of a gas component in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine. The sensor element (10) has a measuring device (22), which serves to detect a physical property of the gas, and has a heating device (21). The heating device (21) contains a heater (30) that is electrically connected to a first heater supply conductor (31) and to a second heater supply conductor (32). The first heater supply conductor (31) is placed in a layer level situated between the second heater supply conductor (32) and the measuring device (22). An at least nearly constant electric potential is applied to the first heater supply conductor (31).
