Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03058994A1] The invention relates to a privacy function check which is efficient in terms of network load, and is carried out by means of a method for requesting the agreement of a user of a mobile radio terminal (13) of a mobile radio network (14, 16), relating to the transmission (8) of the position data (28) of said terminal to a requester (11) requesting said position data (28). In the event of an arrival (2) of one such request (1) in a switching centre (14) of the mobile radio network (14, 16, 15), said switching centre (14) prompts (2a) a database server (26) to check, by means of consultation information (18; 21) stored in the server (26) and relating to the mobile radio terminal, whether an agreement must be obtained (3, 4) from the mobile radio terminal (13) in order to transmit (8) the position of said terminal to the requester (11), the result (2b) of the check then being sent to the switching centre (14). At least when the result (2b) indicates that an agreement must be obtained, a request (3) for the agreement is sent (13) from the switching centre (14) to the mobile radio terminal (13), and, if an agreement (4) is obtained, the position of the terminal (13) is transmitted (7, 8) to the requester (11).
