[origin: EP1104685A1] The boot clamp consists of a base plate with at least one jaw (2) pivoting about a horizontal axis and connected to a drive arm (9) operated by the boot, and a retaining element opposite the jaw. The arm has a cam section (9a) co-operatig with a mobile locking element (12), and the jaw has a return spring (58) which tends to hold it in the open position. The retaining element (3) is in the form of a second jaw identical to the first and connected to it by a kinematic link, e.g. a curved bar, ensuring that both jaws move down at the same time.
