[origin: EP1464762A1] The suction pipe (3) contains slits (14) above the crown (11) so that air can flow them in order to bypass the lower crown opening and ensure a laminar flow in the pipe. The pipe is used to suck up soil via a thin flow method and its bottom end is provided with a crown and its top end is connectable to a suction hose (24). An independent claim is also included for a suction dredger with this pipe.
