[origin: WO03059545A1] The invention relates to a cluster mill comprising an axial displacing device and holding device for displaceable intermediate and/or working rolls (11). The inserts (7) are guided in a sliding manner inside the cluster mill stands (1). The rolls (11) can be displaced in an axially opposite manner by means of piston-cylinder units (5), and the piston rods (5a) are connected to a main traverse (4) in an articulated manner. The aim of the invention is to prevent the main traverse (4) from becoming damaged by non-uniform action of the piston-cylinder units (5) during displacement. To this end, the invention provides that moving beams (1a), which are located on both sides of the roll insert (7), are mounted inside the cluster mill stands (1) via the connecting traverse (2). In addition, the connecting traverses (2) are connected to the middle of the main traverse (4) in an articulated manner, whereby the piston rods (5a) of the piston-cylinder units (5) are connected to the ends (4a, 4b) of the main traverse (4) in an articulated manner, and each piston-cylinder unit (5) can be controlled according to the path by means of a displacement sensor (10).
