Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03037735A3] The invention relates to a closure element band (10) comprised of a multitude of in-line closure elements (12) provided for closing tubular packs. The closure elements (12) are connected to one another with material fit in a longitudinal direction whereby forming a one-piece closure element band (10). Each closure element (12) has a clamping finger section (14) with a clamping finger (22), a clamping slot section (18) with a clamping slot (28) and a separating zone (38) for detaching the closure element (12) from the closure element band (10). The clamping finger (22) can be inserted, in a longitudinal direction, into the clamping slot (28) in order to form a closure element ring. The clamping finger (22) and the clamping slot (28) have detent elements, which enable the closure element ring to be tightened and prevents the clamping finger (22) from coming out of the clamping slot (28). The closure elements can be joined by the clamping finger and the clamping slot in order to form a ring. To this end, the closure element band material, itself, has to have a sufficient level of tensile strength so that even corrosion-resistant plastics can be chosen as the material for the closure element band.
