[origin: WO03058147A1] The scraped surface heat exchanger (1) comprises a housing (2), with sleeve chambers (200, 210), through which a heat exchange medium may flow and limited by heat exchange surfaces (200a, 210a), which define a product chamber for a fluid material for thermal regulation. A scraper (4), extending into the product chamber (3), for scraping material which may deposit on the heat exchange surfaces (200a, 210a), is provided and also a motor drive (8) for driving the rotation of the scraper (4). The housing (2) with the sleeve chambers (200, 210) is bell-shaped in embodiment and the motor drive (8) is at least partly arranged within the inner chamber of the bell-shaped housing (2).
