[origin: WO02066971A2] The invention relates to a method for detecting metal nucleating substances, involving the following steps: (1) bringing into contact a sample to be examined that is placed in a metal nucleating substance with a carrier containing metal salt to produce at least one metal nucleus and (2) chemically developing the metal nucleus, wherein a catalytic reduction of metal salt occurs at least at the site of the metal nucleus.
