Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03062889A2] The invention relates to an optical switch using a micro-mirror and the method for production thereof. Said optical switch comprises at least one optical input path (31), at least one first and one second optical output path (35, 37) and a micro-mirror (41) which can be displaced between an output from the optical input path and the inputs to the first and second optical output paths. According to the invention, the micro-mirror comprises a reflective section (13) and an operating section (15) for setting the reflecting section in rotation. The invention finds application in all fields using optical switches and particularly in the field of optical path telecommunications.
