[origin: DE10241253A1] The peripheral surface of varistors is closely surrounded by an envelope. Between at least two varistors is incorporated an electrically conductive disc with slits, starting at one side in a comb-shaped manner. If only one varistor is used, the conductive disc is incorporated between varistor and one or both front side plates. If the overvoltage conductor contains several discs, the slits of all discs point in the same direction.
