Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2834120A1] The pole contact (C1,C2,C3) wear determination method has an electromagnet (20) with movement controlled by a field coil (21). Wear is determined on the basis of the contact wear stroke produced during a movement closing the electromagnet. An electric signal is measured on the conducting status of a power pole, by measuring the excitation current flowing in the coil on a time basis. The measured wear time is then compared with the initial travel time.
