[origin: EP1466848A2] The sheet separator for a machine processing sheets of paper has two separator heads (7, 8) fitted with separating (9) and transporting (10) suction grippers. Each head has its own drive (24, 25), allowing it to be moved parallel and transverse to the direction of transport, according to the format of the sheets.
