Abstract (en)
A flatbed knitting machine has two needle beds (1) in which needles (2) move horizontally. Each needle is held down by a swivel-mounted plate (5) controlled by a slide closure with a loop-forming edge (51). Each needle (2, 2') also has a swing-operated retaining plate (4, 4') operated independently of the swivel plate (5). As the plate (5) opens a stitch is formed by the needle push-pull action. The swing plate has a fluted channel (53) located below the loop-forming edge, that retains the stitch below the loop-forming edge (51) associated with the needle (2, 2') in the respective needle bed (1). Also claimed is a commensurate knitting process.

Eine Flachstrickmaschine mit mindestens zwei Nadelbetten (1), in denen Nadeln (2) längs verschiebbar angeordnet sind, wobei jeder Nadel (2) eine verschwenkbar gelagerte, von Schlossteilen des Schlittens gesteuerte Niederhalteplatine (5) mit einer Kulierkante (51) und außerdem eine verschwenkbar gelagerte, von Schlossteilen des Schlittens unabhängig von der Niederhalteplatine (5) steuerbare Rückhalteplatine (4), mit der eine Masche bei einer Öffnungsbewegung der Niederhalteplatine (5) und/oder einer Austriebsbewegung der die Masche haltenden Nadel (2) im Maschenraum zurückhaltbar ist, zugeordnet sind. <IMAGE>
