[origin: EP1467015A1] A laundry washing and/or drying machine (1) is provided with a cabinet (2) having a door (10) inferiorly to which a compartment (17, 21) is defined for housing a container (22) capable of containing objects of various kinds. The container (22) comprises a containment portion (23) sustained by a respective support structure (27, 28) which is capable of assuming a lowered configuration and a raised configuration, the latter being particularly advantageous from the ergonomic point of view. To the container (22) a covering element (22A) is articulated which, in a respective open position, allows to access the containment portion (23) even if the container (22) is inserted in the compartment (17, 21). <IMAGE>
