Abstract (en)
The valve shaft (16) is linked through a mechanism (30) formed by a parallelogram of levers, (56,58) to a linear actuator (32) operated by two magnetic coils and an armature (52). Energizing a first coil (50a) through the armature shaft (56) acts on the parallelogram to compress springs (44), releases the pressure on the valve shaft and the valve closes under the action of the valve spring (24). De-Energizing the coil reverses this process and the valve commences to open. To overcome unavoidable frictional forces at a suitable point in time the second coil (50b) is energized to fully open the valve.

Eine Vorrichtung (10; 110) zur nockenwellenlosen Betätigung eines Gaswechselventils (12; 112) einer Brennkraftmaschine, mit einem auf den Ventilschaft (16; 116) wirkenden Antriebselement, das wenigstens einen linear arbeitenden Aktuator (32; 132) enthält, ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Antriebselement ein Getriebe (30; 130) aufweist, das die Wirkrichtung des Aktuators umlenkt. <IMAGE>
