Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03057937A1] The invention relates to a nodular graphite iron alloy for cast iron products with a high modulus E of elasticity which comprises the chemical components C, Si, Cu, Ni and/or Mo, Mn, Mg and S. Said alloy is composed of, in weight percents: C < 2.9 %, Si 3.8 to 4.3 %, Cu 0.5 to 1.0 %, Ni and/or Mo 0 to 4 %, the maximum molybdenum content being 1.0 %, Mn 0.1 to 0.8 %, Mg 0.03 to 0.07 %, and a maximum content of S of 0.015 %. The components C and Si of the mixture are very close to the eutectic phase.
