[origin: WO03054289A2] The invention relates to a method for modifying the colour of dyed textile substrates by treating the dyed textile substrates with an electrochemically produced aqueous solution of reductants or oxidants. The method is characterised in that the cell stream is controlled in such a way that the solution in contact with the dyed textile substrate has a redox potential that is suitable for achieving the colour modification.
