Process for cleaning a cigarette-producing machine or parts of this machine to remove particles such as dust, short tobacco and deposits adhering to machine parts comprises supplying the machine with a pressurized fluid in the gaseous, vapor and/or liquid state to separate loosely deposited or adhering particles, and removing by suction the dust and/or short tobacco particles disturbed by the fluid in the gaseous or vapor state. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for cleaning a cigarette-producing machine or parts of this machine. Preferred Features: Particles loosened from the machine parts by the fluid in the liquid and/or vapor state are removed by suction.

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren und eine Anordnung zum Reinigen einer Zigarettenherstellmaschine von abgelagerten Partikeln wie Staub, Kurztabak und an Maschinenteilen haftenden Ablagerungen. Die Lösung besteht darin, dass der Maschine ein unter Druck stehendes gasförmiges und / oder dampfförmiges und / oder flüssiges Fluid zum Vereinzeln von lose abgelagerten oder an Maschinenteilen haftenden Partikeln zugeführt wird, und dass von dem gas- oder dampfförmigen Fluid aufgewirbelte Staub- oder Kurztabakteilchen abgesaugt werden. In gleicher Weise können die durch flüssiges und / oder dampfförmiges Fluid von Maschinenteilen (als Ablagerungen) abgelöste Partikel abgesaugt werden. <IMAGE>
