Eine Gießwalze (1) zum Gießen von Bändern aus Aluminium oder Aluminiumlegierungen weist mindestens eine Mantelschicht (2) aus Kupfer oder einer Kupferlegierung auf. Deren umfangsseitige Oberfläche (4) ist mit einer eine Sperrwirkung gegen das Eindiffundieren von Aluminium in die Randzone der Mantelschicht (2) ausübenden Diffusionssperre (5) versehen. <IMAGE>
