Abreißeinrichtung für Abschnitte (46) einer Materialbahn (18) mit einem Vorzugswerk (10) für den Transport der Materialbahn ( 18) und mit einem Abreißwerk (12), das mindestens zwei auf entgegengesetzten Seiten der Materialbahn (18) angeordnete Andruckelemente (24; 26; 70) aufweist, von denen mindestens eines mittels einer Anstellemrichtung gegen die Materialbahn (18) anstellbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Anstellemrichtung mindestens einen Motor (42; 49; 60) und eine Steuereinrichtung (43) zur Zeitsteuerung des Motors (42; 49; 60) aufweist, mit der das Andruckelement (24; 26; 70) zu einem steuerbaren Zeitpunkt anstellbar ist. <IMAGE>
