The leno woven fabric (1), which can be magnetized, has active yarns e.g. in the wefts (2) with inactive yarns in the remainder of the fabric e.g. the warps (4). The active yarns contain active fibers, or they are multifilament yarns with inactive filaments (5) and at least two active ferrous wire filaments (6).

Um relativ kostengünstig und dennoch betriebssicher ein magnetisch anziehbares Gewebe zur Verfügung zu stellen, werden magnetisch aktive Faserkomponenten in Fasergarnen, aktive Monofilamente in Multifilamenten oder umsponnene magnetisch aktive Drähte als Kette oder Schuss vorgeschlagen. Außerdem wird eine Anordnung aus einem Oberband mit einem erfindungsgemaßen Gewebe und einem Unterband vorgeschlagen, die eine magnetische Einrichtung zum Richten des Oberbandes in einem Richtbereich aufweist. <IMAGE>
