Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03063622A2] The invention permits a good maintenance of the sock and thus a shin guard which limits the risk of injuries and comprises a sock (1) provided with two cords (2), (3) fixed by two cord-stops (4), (5) placed behind the sock. Said cords (2), (3) are arranged in horizontal sleeves (R) positioned one below the knee and the other at the level of the ankle arranged vertically with a separation slightly greater than the height of the shin guard (T) and exiting at the rear by means of at least one eyelet (10), (11). When the user presses on the cord-stops (4), (5) and pulls on the two ends of the round cords (2), (3), said two cords fix the sock (1) in a suitable position. A protective strip (6) is furthermore provided at the level of the ankle incorporating a shock-resistant material (7) and a self-fixing piece for the hook (8) placed at the end which engages with a complementary velour piece (9) to cover the cord-stop (5) in case of a blow. Said device is particularly suitable for ensuring the combination of sock and shin guard remains well positioned on the leg with an improved security and comfort.
