[origin: WO03066236A1] The invention relates to a watering system comprising a sprinkler (RE) which is especially used to water lawns. According to the invention, the sprinkler (RE) is arranged in a shaft which is sunk into the ground, the upwardly oriented opening of the shaft being covered by a cover (DE) which can be walked on and which frees said opening for the operation of the sprinkler (RE). Preferably, the cover (DE) is automatically opened by the water pressure in a feeding pipe (ZL) leading to the sprinkler.
