[origin: WO03064163A1] The invention relates to a printing device (10) comprising a printer housing (12), a lower body section (34) and an upper body section (36) subdivided into a front region (20) and a rear region (22), which is mounted on said lower body section so that it can pivot between a position adjacent to the lower body section (34) and a position exposing a receptacle (38) for a supply roll (42) of recording material. According to the invention: the front region (20) can be pivoted about a first pivoting axis (26) that runs in the vicinity of the upper front edge (24) of the printer housing (12) and the rear region (22) can be pivoted about a second pivoting axis (30) that runs in the vicinity of the upper rear edge (28) of the printer housing (12); a lower blade (74) of a cutting device (52) is mounted in a fixed manner in the front region (20) and an upper blade (76) of said device is mounted in a displaceable manner in the rear region (22), in addition to a sliding drive (78, 80, 82) for the upper blade (76).
