[origin: WO03065322A1] The aim of the invention is to replace the paper tickets which parking meters provide on payment with card or chip by electronic check means. The conventional paper ticket for the client as proof of payment, is replaced by an electronic ticket relating to the combination of " act of paying - card - meter " the image of which is similar to the paper ticket and can be displayed at all times on the screen of the meter by introducing the payment card. For the warden the image and the state of all the monitored parking places are presented on the screen of the parking meter which allows the state of the monitored parking places to be recognised at a glance and obviates the need to leave and monitor the tickets placed behind the vehicle windscreen.
