Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03065691A2] The invention relates to a mobile telecommunications terminal (1) comprising elements (6) for detecting moisture in said terminal (1). The latter comprises the following precautionary features: a memory (8) for retaining the circumstance, in which the detection of moisture takes place, a shutdown element (9, 4) for shutting down the mobile telecommunications terminal (1) at least partially, if moisture has been detected and a feature (10) for determining the circumstances of the moisture detection. The invention is characterised in that the mobile communications terminal (1) has been at least partially shut down as a result of a detection of moisture and that said mobile communications terminal (1) has been connected to an external current supply source, subsequently causing current to be drawn from said source. Once the two aforementioned circumstances have been detected, a mode is activated, by means of which the mobile communications terminal (1) is subjected to a heating phase and as a result, in turn, a drying phase.
