Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1471029A1] An improved design for seals for lift doors and for lift shaft doors has the seals held in position by spring pressure and retracted by an automatic linkage when the lift cabin reaches a programmed floor. The linkage is operated by a mechanical control (12) and comprises a cable drive (16) which retracts the seals (17.1, 17.2) prior to the doors opening. The seals can be positioned along the top, bottom and opening edges of the doors and are fitted to both the cabin doors as well as to the shaft doors.
