Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1471030A1] An improved pulley for supporting a lift cable, and the lift cabin, is structured with at least two radial sectors with one sector (3) of hardened metal and the other sector (4) of non hardened metal. The sectored structure prevents the formation of cracks under strain and ensures a long operating life. The hardened sectors are produced by flame hardening or by induction heating hardening. The hardened sectors have angles of between 15 to 36 deg. while the non hardened sectors have angles between 1 and 15 deg. The sectors are arranged in an alternating array.
