[origin: WO03065550A1] The invention relates to a stator for an electric machine, more particularly for an EC motor, said stator consisting of a plurality of sheets stacked on top of one another and configured in the form of a laminated core. A connecting area (3) is arranged between two poles (2) of the stator (1), at least one recess (4) being provided in said connecting area. The recess (4) is configured as a slot opening extending diagonally at a given angle ( alpha ) relative to the central axis of the stator.
