Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1473096A1] The roller shaping machine, to shape strip workpieces by rolling, has a frame (2) and a number of paired rollers (6,7) along the line of material travel. The rollers are parallel to each other, forming a profiled gap (S) between them where the material passes through, and the rollers have a powered rotation. The rollers are divided into two segments (6a,6b,7a,7b) across the line of travel, and at least the second segments can be moved across the direction of material travel. The roller segments form a base body (10) as a hollow shaft on a shaft (9) keyed to the frame, where they can be taken off axially. A profile unit (11) is defined by a number of roller profiles (11a), keyed to the base body next to each other with release mountings.
