A double-sided adhesive strip (9) is arranged on the reinforcing layer and is strongly adhering on the side facing the reinforcing layer and weakly adhering on the other side. The weakly adhering side of the adhesive strip is structured so that it adheres on sheet metal but not on the foam material. An independent claim is also included for a sandwich element comprising two metal skins adhered together using the sealing strip.
