Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1473666A2] The device has a counting station with contact image sensor (CIS) modules (3 1-3 3), each module having a longitudinal lighting unit (31). A CIS circuit (33) is connected to a printed circuit (34). A displacement unit moves a container or the modules in a direction perpendicular to a linear light beam. A memory stores signals representative of information of light beam reflected by the products. The device has a microprocessor for processing the information for determining a number of products.
