Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1475326A1] The device for the holding down of a sheet in a sheet supporting region of especially a folding machine has several blowing devices which when in use direct an air jet (20,22) onto the sheet. The blowing devices are located so that the air jet is inclined in the direction of travel of the sheet. The holding down device is a hollow component (18) with its inner cavity connectable to a pneumatic pressure unit, whereby the blowing devices are provided in the wall of the hollow component and comprise holes in fluid communication with the inside of the hollow component. An independent claim is included for a sheet alignment device (10) for especially a folding machine.
