[origin: EP1475337A1] The folding machine has a first knife folder (12) with a first sheet support unit upon which comes to lie in a first sheet supporting plane (BE1) a sheet (20) entering the first knife folder, and a second knife folder (14) with a second sheet support unit upon which comes to lie in a second sheet supporting plane (BE2) a sheet (22) emerging from the first sheet delivery unit of the first knife folder. The second knife folder is movable transversely to the sheet outlet direction of a sheet emerging from the first knife folder.
