[origin: EP1475506A2] U-shaped connector (2) made of plastic for connecting hollow profiles comprises outward-facing angled fins (5) arranged on the side bars (4) of the connector one behind the other in a row in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the connector. The hollow profiles have a rectangular cross-section with a perforated base surface, parallel side walls (7) and a top surface (8) parallel to the base surface with concave butyl-receiving flanks between the top surface and side walls. The fins end exactly at the edge receiving the butyl composition (D) at the junction between the side wall and the top surface of the hollow profile and thus absorb the deformation pressure transferred from the top surface of the hollow profile to the side bars of the connector. The cold flow of the side bars and the resulting inward collapse under permanent pressure are prevented.
