Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03070060A1] Disclosed is a profiled rail (1) for a suspension device, comprising supports (6) which are plugged into the profiled rail (1) and are used for suspending or placing objects. The profiled rail (1) is horizontally fixed to a supporting structure (9) and is provided with a passage (10) which extends from a frontal opening and into which the supports (6) are plugged. A conductor rail (2) that is provided with current conductors (24, 27) and receives electricity via a power supply (3) is disposed inside the profiled rail (1), said current conductors (24, 27) being accessible from the passage (10) for tapping current so as to supply energy to a consumer (7) that is connected thereto via a feeder (46). The current conductors (24,27) can be tapped in an uninterrupted manner along the entire axial length thereof by means of an adapter (4) which slides into the passage (10), is placed along the profiled rail (1) and can be switched on and off. The inventive electrified profiled rail (1) provides added designing options for the production of furniture, stores, tradeshow booths, and outfit systems due to the built-in supply of electricity.
