Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03070604A1] The invention relates to containers comprising an electrically driven interlocking mechanism. The aim of the invention is to provide a container, configured in such a way that it can be interlocked with other containers of a similar type without manual intervention and that several stacked containers can be simultaneously displaced. To achieve this, the container comprises corners containing electrically driven, rotatable and displaceable interlocking devices, which have interlocking elements in the vicinity of their lower ends. Said interlocking elements engage in corresponding corner castings of a similar-type container arranged below, said castings being located on the upper corner regions and being designed to receive the interlocking devices, thus interlocking the containers.
