[origin: FR2836165A1] The anchoring sleeve, e.g. to receive a screw or long bolt embedded in a cast concrete component such as a railway sleeper, is open at both ends, with its lower end (1b) having an inward projecting circular rim (5) forming an aperture of smaller diameter than the rest of the sleeve and designed to engage with an annular groove (6) in a compressible elastic plug (4). The plug is shaped to clip into place, having a central boss (4a) and a base (4d) that covers the end of the sleeve. In variants of the design the plug can be made double-sided so it can be fitted into the sleeve either way round, or it can have a threaded surface and screw into place.
