Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03071067A1] Disclosed is an electronic control circuit for a car door locking system, comprising a control unit with an induction coil, which transmits a data inquiry to an external contactless data carrier and causes the car door locking system to be unlocked if said data carrier receives a valid response. The inventive electronic control circuit also comprises a proximity sensor with at least one proximity electrode, which triggers the transmission of the data inquiry when a person approaches the proximity electrode. The proximity electrodes and the induction coil are mounted in the outer door handle of a car. The inventive electronic control circuit is also provided with an electrostatic shield between the proximity electrode and the induction coil.
