Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1477074A1] The tobacco cutting machine (10) has a rotor (11,12) with four apertures (19) accommodating knives or scraper blades (13,14). The knives may be set at 13-24 degrees to the vertical plane of the rotor disk. The disk turns inside a fixed housing (24) with a flat back-plate. The plate has a breather aperture (30) and the tobacco stick (16) is pushed onto the rotor through a second aperture (29). Tobacco flakes fall through an outlet aperture (26) in the bottom of the housing.
