Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1477451A2] The flexible bending joint (9) for the jib of a mobile crane has a hinge (8) at the top of the lattice frame sections for the inner and outer parts of the jib. The lower parts of the two lattice frame sections are connected together by a telescopic hydraulic actuator (7). The ends of the actuator are hinged (1,1') to the bottom stringers of the inner and outer parts of the crane jib. The actuator has a tubular piston (7b) which slides telescopically inside a cylinder (7a). There are bores with a transverse bolt in the cylinder.
