Abstract (en)
A hot melt textile spinning assembly (2, 4) generates a filament yarn (3) or cable (5) that is surrendered to a treatment assembly (6, 6'). The treatment assembly forms a series of weak links by exposure to a plasma beam, electron beam or enhanced temperature. In a further embodiment the fibre or cable passes through a ring that is heated to between 160 and 280 degrees C. The textile assembly further incorporates a stretching station and a crinkling station.
