[origin: EP1477627A2] A door lock for a motor vehicle comprises a rotary lock (1), a pawl (4) and a drive (5) which works to open the lock through the switching of an eccentric (6) on the pawl. The eccentric is held above the pawl by a blocking means (7) for a sufficient time for the opening pawl to separate the blocking means from the eccentric.
