Abstract (en)
The rotor (1) has outward projecting vanes, in close sealed contact with the inside diameter of the stator (3) the stator has inward projecting vanes, in close sealed contact with the outside diameter of the rotor forming working chambers (13) supplied with oil under pressure through oil galleries (63,64). The rotor is connected to the camshaft (2) and the stator is connected to a sprocket (20) for a timing chain.

Der Nockenwellenversteller hat einen Stator (3) und einen relativ zu ihm drehbaren Rotor (1), zwischen denen Druckkammern (13) vorgesehen sind. Über ein Ventil wird gesteuert Druckmedium der jeweiligen Kammer (13) zugeführt, um den Rotor (1) relativ zum Stator (3) zu drehen. Damit der Nockenwellenversteller auch bei beengten Platzverhältnissen eingesetzt werden kann, ist das Ventil an der vom Nockenwellenanschluß abgewandten Seite angeordnet. Das Ventil kann darum axial außerhalb des Motors des Kraftfahrzeuges ortsfest angeordnet werden. Der Nockenwellenversteller benötigt darum nur wenig Einbauraum. Der Nockenwellenversteller ist für Kraftfahrzeuge vorgesehen. <IMAGE>
